Senior: Dear comrades, we hope you haven't let the current system stifle your imagination for an alternative world. We invite you to contribute your hopes for the future and your critiques of the present through the lens of thesis, antithesis, and synthesis for our ground of struggle. Through our Internship opportunities, the intern contributes to discourse debunk sessions, learns critical research skills, produces visionary publications, investigates news, engages with civil society events, creates visuals through commune learning. The internship helps the contributors to learn about our research manifesto, declaration, and ground of struggle practically so that they can gain practical experience to get hired as our contributors.
We define ‘Margin’ as the praxis of the proletariat class and subaltern identities. These are the radical spaces of openness and resistance. Margins provide us with the most visible contradictions of the dominant systems. So, margins have unique epistemic advantages for emancipatory critical studies. We define the Centre as the site of hegemonic power. It dominates the hegemony and narrates what is normal for the margins, by the exclusion of lived realities of class struggle and subaltern narratives. The Centre is ideologically constructed by our academic and political institutions.
From Margins to Centre is a counter-hegemonic movement to recenter the narrative by organic intellectuals and transform margins into the dominant hegemony for restructuring strategy. By moving "to the centre," we mean reconstructing the needs and visions of the oppressed as the central focus of all social, political, and feminist theory and action.
We are calling for scholar-activists and critical researchers to join our movement dedicated to the radical realignment of power and knowledge.
We do not study the oppressed, we work as a co-investigative body who organize with the masses and turn research into informed action to dismantle the systems that keep the silenced communities at the margins. If you are from the praxis of oppressions, we invite you to Start a Margin.
